User Anonymity and Personal Information

Access to all files on this website's web servers are logged. These log files do not capture personal information but do capture more abstract information such as the user's IP address.

Aggregated analysis of site traffic is used to monitor website usage allowing us to measure, for example, overall popularity of the site and typical user paths through the site.

We make no attempt to identify individual users (other than as part of the normal operation of the site during your visit). You should be aware, however, that access to web pages will generally create log entries in the systems of your ISP or network service provider. These entities may be in a position to identify the client computer equipment used to access a page. Such monitoring would be done by the provider of network services and is beyond our responsibility or control.

We do, however, reserve the right to attempt to identify and track any individual who is reasonably suspected of trying to gain unauthorised access to computer systems or resources operating as part of our web services.

All log file information collected by us is kept secure and no access to raw log files is given to any third party.

What Do We Store?

We are required by law to retain the details of guests who are booked to stay in our lets. The information held on our booking system comprises:

• Guest name
• Contact telephone number(s)
• Email address
• Postal address
• Passwords (SHA encrypted - so we cannot see your password) and password reminder questions and answers
• Details of specific booking(s) including arrival and departure dates plus any optional extras requested by the guest

We do not take card payments directly through our website and, as such, do not record bank card details. Payment is usually via the following:

• Cheque
• Paypal

Data Storage

All data is held in a password-secured database and is not processed or used for marketing purposes or any other purposes by ourselves or any third party.

Periodic data cleansing anonymises data where guests have not re-visted the site for an extended period (currently 5 years). This process removes:

• Names and addresses
• Email address and phone numbers
• Login IDs, and password reminders/answers

How Is Your Data Used?

The data we hold is purely used to contact guests about their stay prior to their visit or after they have departed should the need arise following damage to the property or items left behind.

Please note that we do not contact guests for promotional reasons.

No data is passed to 3rd parties.

Changing or Removing Your Details

Guests wishing to view, amend or remove their details and/or data held by us can contact us via the website, email, phone or post.

Use of Cookies

This website does not store any information that would, on its own, allow us to identify individual users of this service without their permission. Any cookies that may be used by this website are used either solely on a per session basis or to maintain user preferences. Cookies are not shared with any third parties.
